A visit to Beal's Lobster Pier is always a highlight — no matter the season.
There’s nothing like a trip to Maine in the summer – and a visit to Beal’s is a must for those looking for an authentic lobster pier experience and the freshest seafood one can find. At our working lobster pier in Southwest Harbor, Maine, you and your family will have a blast watching the boats sail in and the lobstermen unload fresh Maine lobster. Hear the creak of rope on the moorings. Catch the scent of saltwater on the breeze, and enjoy the waterfront view.
Our restaurant is closed from October to May, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy fresh from the pier lobster from Maine’s pristine coast. Even when Maine is cold enough to freeze our beards and eyelashes, we’re still hard at work to deliver live lobsters, fresh and frozen lobster meat, and more fresh Maine seafood straight to your doorstep.

Maine has so much to offer — even in the off season.

Nice spot for dinner with a view of the marina area. We enjoyed being able to eat dinner while watching boats come in and out. The staff at the ordering counter was very friendly. Lots of options on the regular menu along with specials on the board outside. My husband has been on a search for a good, hot lobster roll and found it tonight. I had the blackened haddock tacos and they were great! Probably our favorite meal so far on this trip. Would gladly return.
Ate Mother’s Day lunch while visiting the area! Really enjoyed the shrimp basket and the fried lobster roll! Everything was fresh and fantastic!!

Love the Beals Lobster Pound! Not our first visit .and will not (hopefully ) be our last Eaten here a few times. Fun watching people park and hang their vehicle up on the tricky pier. Very entertaining. Glad it wasn't us!! Fun to watch all of the people and comings and goings in this quiet Harbor. Like to go about 3-4 in the afternoon as we are blue hairs .. Avoid the busy time of day when the screaming children are there. Bartenders very helpful as well as the guy helping you pick out your very tasty lobster, argghh
